                                                                                                                        Dear Sir
                                                                                                                                    it is with pleasure I sit down to my desk in the school room to write you a few lines to let you know that I am well at this time trusting in Gods goodness that you are enjoying the same blessing I am teaching school now next Saturday will close a three months term well Albert I would like if you could be here I was at church last night Brother Warbinton preached the best sermon I most ever heard well Al you must take good care of your self while you are gone / and do your duty and may the God of Heaven protect you Well Albert I guess it is not worth while to write any more at present I dont want you to think hard of me I can think of you just as often as if we were to write to each other we can hear from one another once and a while I would like to see you very much but that cannot be when this you see remember me though in a distant land we be well Albert I believe I havent much else to write it will soon be time to call the children to their books and I must quit hoping to remain your friend until death and if we meet no more on earth I hope we will meet in Heaven So I bid you an affectionate farewell for the present I remain dear sir yours truly M.B.
