Dear Sarah I take the preasant opportunity to rite a few lines to you hoping they will find you well and dooing well as thank God it leaves me well and dooing well I am well satesfided with our situation at preasant all that trubbles me is the thoughts of being seperated from your society and pore lissa but I hope from the appearance of things it wont be long until the war will be over and then we will be purmited to come home but let it be as it may let us try and be satesfide and put our trust in the god of the univers the boys are all well at preasant /

I thought I would rite some this eavning as their is some talk of leaving hear this eavning but I dont know how it will be yet if we do I will rite the first opportunity and let you know whare we are I sent 25 Dollars to you by Dspain We have got our clothes hear yet and we cant get out of camp to send them of yet but we will send them some how before we leave I am going to ceep some of mine hear I sent my likness by Dspain I will now come to a close for the preasant hoping to remain faithful and true to you while life shal last
