Well Nila we are still hear and alive and engoying good health but I dont know how longe we shall stay hear the report is that we shall leave hear and go to texas but I cant tell whear we shall go nor when that we cant tell but if we have good health it will not matter and put our trust in god and keep his comandments thinking that I might be whare I could not write to you as often as I should like to so I will write when I can I shall not send this letter till after the mail comes for I expect I shall have a letter then /
 
the whitman boys have ben grunting round for about 2 weaks it would pleas you to se them eat and then to se them go round E M has ben on Drill this morning the first time for 2 weaks he has had the piles and I think that he is home sick some but I dont know I dont mean to be home sick if I can help it I have not lost a meal of vituals since I left home and weigh 1,54 1/2 pounds the heavest that I ever was in my life and I thank god that my life has ben spaird and health and I want you to remember and prey for me and I will remember you /
 
            the 6 Dear Nila I now seat my self to finish this little sheet I am still engoying good health and feel tough and I hope and prey that you are the same and that you will continue to for I should feel very bad to hear that you or the Children wer sick and I was away down hear whear I could not se you nor doe aney thing to cuf cumfort you nor help take care of you and I hope by the blessing of god that I shall be spaird from hearing that aney of my dear friends are called to suffer but had rather hear that all of them have saught and found the pearl of great price and are regoising in full faith in / that ever stands readey to help those that call uppon him and I hope and trust that you will use all the means that lay in your power to bring those to him that know him not and try and bring up the Children the best that you can dont think Nila that I think you will not do your best but I cant help writing to you what I think and I think that you will not be displeased do your best and then leave it in the hands of god and prey that your endevors may be blessed and santified to the good of some one tell Father and Mother that I would like to se them and shake hands with them but that is not posible but then we can remember each other at the throne of grace and hope that we shall meet again
I must close now but shall try and write again soon if my life is spaird
