how do you do to night and the rest of the folkes in old hawley and vacinity My health is good and I hope that this will find you enjoying good health yesterday I was on gard and it rained a most all day and night but I did not have to stand on my beat but it was just as bad for the rest I send you a Card that Mr Charles Moulton Corporal he is in the same tent that I am in and he presented it to me and said send it to your wife and so I send it to you /
 
the health of the Reg is good I got a letter from Ellen she was well she said that she ment to write to you you must write to her the drum has beat for rol Call and I must Close
