Mr. Jacobs
Dear Sir
                                                                                                            With the greatest of pleasure i seat myself to inform you that i & the Boys ar all well, except B. C. Lamberton. i recived your Letter about a half Houer ago, but befor i writh much i hop you will exus mi of the Mistak i mad, in my last Letter, datet Januay the 5th. I had comenzt writhing, the two first Lins, wen my attention was draw to something els, & so for got to put the heading to it. I had the Letter in in / the Offis reddy, wen it strok my Mind that i had mad a Mistak. i was going to upen the Letter again wich i think you saw but wen i was in the act of doing so, the Mail Carrier cam along & i had to leav her slep. You can let Lamberton no about R. being sik he is very bad & is the most tim after Nigth derangt in his Head
 
We ar all taking as good Car of him as we can, but it is not lik at hom with all the Care you ar not half tendet & then we hav not got the eatibles for him that he ought to hav I wroth you / 4 Letter sinc the Battle but i dont think you hav recived them. this is the 2 Letter this year & i intend to mark every Letter that i send to you, so i can see how many goes to loos: & you do the sam. it is beginning to rain, & i think we will hav a spell of Weather ef you go out Turky haunting i dont want you to kill the old ons. ef you kill on save me a Shank of it. I would lik to go along out haunting with you, or do any other Work i think i would injoy my self very much. I would willingle help you to trash & do other Work, ensteate of lying here it allmost kills me lying her at one plas so long. we hav to carry the Wood nerly a half / Mill. I am sory that W. Firline has met with such a misfurtion. I must Clos now the Boys sends their best Respext to you
