Alfred L. Sponsler to George W. Jacobs, 5 November 1873
Carlisle Penna.
Nov. 5. 1873
Mr. Geo. Jacobs
Dear Sir
I write to you as the agent of Mrs. Macfeely, from whom Geo. Wetzel & you leased the Hotel room kept by Mr. Wetzel. And wish to enform you that he is considerably back in his rent, will not, or cannot pay it & refuses to make settlement or give up the property or make any definite arrangement concerning it.
I would like very much if you would call and see me some day this week if possible. The rent as I understand from the terms of the agreement, or Lease, is payable quarterly & if Mr. Wetzel does not comply with said terms, we will / certainly have to look to you for the money. He has been in a habit of paying it in dribs of $5.00 or $10. at a time & this mode of payment does not answer their purposes. Come in and let us have some definite understanding about it
Respectfully Yours
A L Sponeler
