as I did not send my letter out to day I thought I would write a few lines more as my envelop has got dirty in my pocket I will put on a new one /
 
Father I guess you need not send any money because the calnoll Parker said out to meeting yesterday that we shall gitt our pay buy the last of this week but cannot tell whather we will or not the is a many betts up on it as I could count in a week. The orders is now that we shall / go out on picket next friday we shall Be gone about 5 days the was a regiment came in to day with One rebble. I have not learned the news yet frank said he saw the rebble the 5th New hamshier regiment came in one week ago. They had 2 rebbles & loads of corn in the ear we got some of it & have parched the last to night parched corn tastes good here now I tell you. I dont wait for to get anny answers nor you must not / If we go out on picket friday you may look out for a letter a week from to morrow wich will Be on Tuesday and if we dont go I s shall not write probaly
william is writing to Mr Wm bates to night he is quite tuff now. We have had about a 1/2 half inch of snow here 2 or 3 times the sun shines most every day. Mother I wish you would get up something for me to take, my stomach is out of order the vituals that I eat keeps a rileing up in my stomach & raises up in my throat as bitter as gall so goo by. W.M. King had a great deal of fun over the picture & letter that dolphin wrote. two flies & a wasup
