Dear brother I recived your leter to day and was glad to hear that you are well and am glad to hear that you have not had much trouble yet I am waiting with all paicencs to hear from Congress to see what they are a going to do the excitment up heare I expect is grater then it is with you we heare from most all the camp perty harde news the paper stats that the boys are almost with out close we are all well at present Flora ses she wishes that uncel Siles would come home /
The day your leter was dated I was to mi Granmothers funeral She died the first day of the month the day that she did walked around I have gust comenst to harvest it has bin very dry hear but it is a raing now Crops wheat is very good corn and oats loks gust midling
Nomore at present I hope to see you wen yor time is up I waunt you to come to oure house first

I have just got the children to bed and I thought I would put in few lines we are all well at present and was glad to hear that you was enjoying the same blessing we heard on the fourth of July that your company had been in a fight and we was almost afraid to hear from you but we feel quite relieved since we got your letter Uncles is up to Coldwells now they are all well do not fail to come back when your time is up for we all want to see you if you should be in a battle before your time is up and should happen to get hurt let us know right away if possible if you cant write your Self get some one to write for you I will have to quit writing for it is time to go to bed no more at present but remains
