Dear Sister; I sit down to answer your kind and most welcome letter of the 23. it gave a deal of pleasure to hear that you were all well and that you had so much pleasure in the city. I am well at present and hope these few lines may find you all enjoying the same blessing. We were mustered in on Saturday for two months more pay and expect to be paid in two or thee weaks. I at Preaching in our own regiment and Bible class in 102 Chaplain / Stewart is our teacher we had 29 Scholars yesterday he is a fine teacher. We are going to have a core review to day so I got up at 3 o'clock this morning to write this letter I have four more to answer and I hardly know when I will get time for we have drill twice a day and I have my grammar lesson to study and recite. the boys are all well. We are still in the same place. I want to write to my mother tomorrow morning if I can. I have to close Good by
