camp at snikers Gap verginey i now take my pen in hand to let you no that i am well and i hope this will find you the same it will be a month day after tomorro sence we comenced marching and we have rested here to days and that is the most rest we have had sence we comenced marching i think we shal lve here tomorro we are goin to warinton junction the next time we march and i doant no wheare we shal go to from there i hope it will be to vermont if i ever git out of this / Dam the man that ever trys to git me to list again there is about thirty thousand of us here together here now Burt dun staid with me one nite when we lay to South Mountain gap i have rote two letters before this and haint got no ancer we cant git our male now but we are goin to the warinton railroad then we shal git our letters regler My is well and ollin sprage is the stautest man there is in our company Mos i wish you could see him he haint shaved sence he has ben out here you cant see his eyes he looks more like a Bare then eny thing / elce i have rote for six dolars in the other letters and if you haint got the other letters i rote send me six dolars and i want a half a dosen postage stamps the rebs aint very near us now only some girriler parttys scouting round we pick some of them you can al read this i cant think of much more to rite this time i must close for this time by saying good By
