Henry (?) to Father, 6 June 1865
            Chestnut Hill Hospital
                        Philadelphia PA June 6/65

Dear Father
Nothing to do this Plesant Morning thought I could spend my time no better than by writing you a few lines to let you know of my health, etc.

The times are rather lonesome here having nothing to do to pass away time I have tried till I see there is no use to get to my Regiment. I did _____to get mustered out of service with them they are caleulating on haveing a big old time when they get to the state. Col. Bond told me he expected the cittizans of Henry and Stark Counties would give them a grand reception and I should like to be thare to enjoy it with them but will not I am afraid.  I wrote you in my last letter I would be home between this and the fourth of Juley but hardly think will as my descriptive list is not here I then thought it was but find it is not looking evry day for it as I know Albert will send it as soon as he finds out where I am.  You see thare is now at this Hospital about three thousand men one of the largest Hospital in the United States and only discharge about fifty men per day so you see will take about three months at that rate.  Most of the men are getting very mutch dissatisfed.

do you here from Albert it seams curious that I do not here from him it seams five years since I have seen him. I have been in hopes I could get home before the Reg got to the state so I could go and see them. But I take the thing cool as I think will all come out right yet am looking for my descriptive list when that comes then will have some hopes of getting out soon

Im writing and looking evry day to here from you do not fail to write often and I will do the same
