Dear Father & Mother
I arrived here all safe and sound here on Friday morrning Passed and got U.S. Uniform and Equipments yesterday. We are in good comfortable Quarters here. We have tents large enough comidate ten men. our beds are not as soft as they might being the soft side of a pine Board. The boys are all feeling well considering circumstances. Scott is awfull sick of soldering I feell first rate better than I expected I want you to send me out both of my flannell Shirts in my Valliece and if I can get a furlough next week I will bring my Duds / in with it. I wish you would tell Charles to send me a paper evry day if he can. Our regiment expects to be full the fore part of next week this is a bout all I have to write this time I saw Tulley up to the capitol yesterday to work. I went down to Noldens and saw Louise she looks first rate
