General Hospital Oct 10th
Dear Friends at Home.
I now set down to let you know that I am in the spitell as father calls it yet but I am on the gain. We have had a big storm here the last two or three days it has done nothing but rain and blow which is not over yet. I have reced narry a box a tall a tall. I wish you would give Ben Hall fits a bout it. I want you to get me up the Best Pair of gloves Milwaukee affords have them pretty long wrists so they will mett my wristlets good If you have not sent my / Boots you can send them along with them. If not you can roll them up in a little in some good stout paper and mark them good and plain. I believe that major Starr came back last night I have not been able to see him yet this is all this time. Be sure and get me up the gloves and punch up the boxes.
Write and let me know how the baby gets along.
