Post Hospital. Sunday Eve Oct 26th 1862
Dear Brother
I received yours of the 19th to night and three sheets of extra paper. I thought that it had money in it. But I see that there was none Iff I had a little extra just now it would not hurt me. I received a letter from Bert wrote the 20th of this month and that lot of paper and envelopes and a weekley about three days ago. We had quite a little snow storm here last friday night it went right off about same day. I got that box that you sent through by the regular Express train. the hospital / is wery at present the shifted me to make room for sicker men and they quarters that they moved me to are not quite as warm as the other but I have made out keep warm yet. There was one man out of our regiment died last night. I think that stopping the sunday dances is a good plan. Send the box right along and a little more bitter and the flask get a leather one so it will not beak. and some large round crackers and all the other good things that you have to spare. I would like a little money money if any you folks have any to give away I can send it to you when I get to my regiment I left my / most money with Lieut Jain and I am about strapped I have bought one thing or another since I have been sick & I am a bout all You can leave use my Camp if you want two I think that I will leave in a week or two. But you can send the box right along as quick as you are a mind two and wright often.
