friend wiliam I now take a nopertuty to rite to you I got your leter Some days a go I was glad to hear from you it found me ruged I should of rote before if I had stamps but we are out of mony & stamps & I hate to get one franked but I shal half to this time I guess they have discharge a bout 20 lately & they has 50 inlisted in the reglar servis I dont think that I will go yet I want to see this game out first ed hocum tride to get his discharge he says his side is lame these men is now recrutes all but 2 that discharged /
I would like to be to home to be this winter with you we would have lots of sport I guess they are a fiting every day now burnside & Segul nocks the rebs every time. its very plesent here warm days & frosty nites no snow yet I am on gard every other day. We expect to get our pay in a few days
