Harppers. Ferry. Feb 23rd 1863
Dear Wife.
I received your letter and was glad to hear that you were all well and them few lines found me enjoying very good health and I hope you are still the same.
And we got paid up to the 1st of January and I have sent $40.00 in a letter with John Pidcocks to his mother for you and she will send it arround to you John Mother knowed best how to get it out of the express company and I thought it would be the safest way of doing and John sent it by the adams Express company with his in his Fathers name. and his Mother will go down after it / I guess she wont get it before Wednesday anyhow so John told his Mother about it so she will know what to do when she gets it. and I want you to write and leave me know if you have got it as soon as you get it for I will be anxious for to know so will John Pidcock.
Yours.
Barnett Snyder /
