Dear Wife i take this opertunity to rite you a few lines that i am well and hope theas few lines may find you all in joing the same i have bin on the march sence the 13th of April and dont know when i will get in our lines a gain i have not bin paid yet and dont now when i will but i will send it as soon as i get it amos is acoming in a few days and all the rest of the boys he may bee home be for you get this letter and he said he wold [paper fold] / mony til you get som from me i cant git no mail so dont rite till i send a letter by mail
