Well Nila I now take my pen to write you a few lines to let you know that I still live and enjoy the best of health and now I think of it you wanted to know how I got that envelop well I can explain that to your satisfaction when we wer in Camp at worcester Henry gave me some of them that he had and that is the way that I came by that I have not sean hen but once since he left worcester and that was when he was on arlington hights /
I have some newes to write you we had to fall in last night and go and sign the pay roll but when we shall get the pay I dont know but to day some say and then on to the front some of the battery boys that left hear sunday said that they never new a regiment to stay onn this ground over 2 day after they wer paid off but I dont know aney thing what we shall do or whear we shall go and shall leave it with the god of the faithfull and pray that we may once more meet onn earth you may think that I am home sick but I dont but I should like to hear from home once more / It is all most 2 weeks since I have got a letter from home but think that they must have ben missent I hope to get some to to day give my respects to all and reserve for your self and babies I mus close now so good morning for this time from your
