I have written to fathers folks and to Jane and to Newton and you five or six times and to day to Sabrina and I have got three letters from you and that is all that I have received since I came back Erastus is writing now to Cyntha I suppose well I am a fraid if you was like her you would want a long time for a letter from me but I thank god from the bottom of my heart that I was so luckey as to get so good a Nila the boys say here that they did not like her at all they think that she feels verry important and that she is a little better than aney one else and they say she / is scornfull as a bitch they dont think half as mutch of her as though she had not come down here but to here him tell what great things his wife is doing and they laff at it behing his back and they think that she might make something with her fifty dollar Mashien and Erastus has got some money with him some ten or twelve dollars and when he gets aney thing he says when he takes out his money this is my wifes money well I hope her money will hold out that is all it has cost them something for her cumming down here and back and staying here and then his going home / and they cant travel for nothing aney more than I can but they have money a neough and so let them go it dont you say aney thing about this for it will make fathers folks feel bad and will do no good to you or aney one else so drop this in the fire when you read it I think this will do for this time so Good Night Nila for to this time
