it has ben verry hot to day we started at 6 oclock this morning from Camp near winchester and got hear about 2 oclock some 16 milds and I tell you that it was warm work we have camped hear for the night and how mutch longer I dont know Jerry playd out some 2 milds back he will not be good for aney thing I dont think
May the 10 well Nila I will now try and write you a few lines this morning we are still hear whear we camped last night and I guess we shall stay hear to day I / received your letter with those verses in and was glad to hear that you wer all well but I am afraid if you take your short walk as you call it verry often that you cannot write me that you can match me on being fat and teough so I want you to be verry Carful and not get sick those verses I think verry good and I have read them over and over again and then I take out your picture and look at that My health is good yett Erastus is at martinsburg I suppose I dont know I am not in aney speculation and I think I shall stop for now one of the men that owes me 10 Dollars is in / the Hospital and one that owes me 6 is back on the waggon train and I dont know when I shall ever se them again thear is one that owes me 12 Dollars that is hear so you se that I have 28 Dollars out and and I ow some 15 Dollars and thear is some that I ow the suttler I dont recolect just how much but if I ever get it I shall try and send you some 50 dollars Newton will take care of it if you want he should after you get what you want to spend I may have a chance to send this so I will close yours
