Well Nila what shall I say to you now for I hardley know for I write so often that I have no newse to send but must write well my throat has got well and my arm is doing well I had it burnt off the other day for it had filled up so that the meet was stuck up above the rest and some of cavatick run down on my arm whare it was sound and it tuck the skin off thare and it smarts just like a burn just what / it is but is doing well since I came back I have not ben to the dining room to eat but a few times for Ben Barley who use to be in this tent is in the Cook house and he brings me up my meals just sutch as the Cooks eat and that is Beef stake and liver and all sutch like of food and you know that I can eat a little of that we have had a hard storm hear but is warmer now so it goes we have some 2 inches of snow hear now but it looks as though we might get more soon Kellys leg has got most well I dont know when I shall go to the regiment Cap Potter is Lieut Col / Mice Lincoln promoted and Capt Pratt of Co C is Major so you se they are at it for promotions well let them have it if my arm gets well I will be round amongst them them but not till then I saw Cotrell he will not do aney more duty I think but may Pomoroy and Clark have got back to the Companey I guess I wrote you before how are you getting along and the Children kiss them for me and tell them to be good and learn I dont think of aney more I got a letter from Wm and Ellen they wer well send their love to my Baby wife
