it is Christmas and I wish you a Merry Christmas
Dear Friends I have had as Merry a wone as could be expected for one in my place we have had a verry nice dinner our Captain gave us a dinner we had Turkees pies Cranberry Sauce Turnips and Cabage we had 34 Flaggs hung up in the room whare we ate our dinner we had it at 3 Oclock this afternoon they are having a dance now and are having a jolley time of it They shake the building so that I can hardly write everything goes on pretty much the same as it has fer the last 2 months my health is much better than it was but it is not as over as I wish it was but it is goning there is not much news to write I do not know how long we shal stay here our officers have been ordered to be ready to more at eny day the ground was covered with with snow this morning but it is all gon be fore nite and it is verry pleaone this eavning as to the ware it dos not seem to be eny nearer the place than it was 3 months ago I think the next 2 or 3 months will tell what will have to be done
I do not think there is eny danger of Enylone interfearing in our afferes she durst not do it it would be her ruin
France would like to have her verry much
I think as soon as as our Army advanced that we shal be ordered from this place perhaps to Washington perhaps father South but when we do go I will let you know But I mus clost as it is gettin late Give my love to all wish them all a Merry Christmas for me
