My Dear wife I now take my pen to answer your letter that I have just received that you wrote the 15 last sabath and was glad to hear that you wer all well and teough and I hope you may continue so for a great maney years to come and that I shall live to get home and that we may live happiley for a long time and thank God for all our blessings my health is good and my arm is all healed up so I shall soon be readey for field servis again and then probabley you will not / hear from me as often as now but as often as I can write and I hope to hear from you quite as often as now I got a letter from H.N. Winslow some days a go have had none from Cheshier latley I have ben thinking I should get some money but no sines of it yett but it is good some time well keep good courage all will be right in time if we trust to God but I must close
