My Dear wife I now take my pen in hand to write you a few lines I hardley know what to say to you but that I am well and teough and fat I received a letter from you yesterday and was glad to hear that you was well and smart you say that you had a cry because you couldnot send me those things well now you must of felt a greatdeal worse than I do a bout it for I am not in want of aney thing that is actuly in want and about Rilas silent kiss it was a silent one that I got and when I get home / I think that I will give her one that will not be so silent but that thing that you said Melintha wanted to know about you kneed not say aney thing I saw some of the things I was in the Cuck house at the time that he got that I had one sausage but dont you say aney thing about it now you know how we stand on our acount and keep still if that is right I am glad I got a letter from Mr and Mrs Dean to day I am glad to get a letter from aney one that I know and from you it all most like seaing home and I trust that I shall se you by and by we got a letter from Wm this week he was well /

I closed my letter to you last night to go to bed and now I will try and finish this so as to send it tomorow I received yours to day of the 16 and am as glad to hear that you wer all well I think that you have done well I did not think that you would do that when I left you how old is your baby and what is it I shant own that one as mine so you had better get clear of that I think that you have ben doeing large business well I spose that I must put up with it but when I get home then I will streighten you out and that right smart now do you hear well you kneed not fear / I think that you get alonge better now than you did when I was at home well I am glad of that and I hope that you will keep on be shure that you keep a neough to eat and drink and wear and I am glad to hear that you have got you a new beau oh no not that but a new beaureau or what ever you call it aney thing but babys you must leave that part out for I dont think that I get a neough so that I can a ford to father aney more at present aney how dont hurry your self about that box for I am not in distress for what you will send so rest easey I must close now and may God Bless you an save us all is my prayer yours truly
