My Dear wife I now take my pen in hand to inform you that we are paid off to day and as I am owing some and dont know when we shall be paid off again I will send you but 10 ten Dollars at this time and am mutch obliged to you and will try and pay you more the next time I was on picket yesterday near the Cave that they call John Browns Cave to day I am doing nuthing but drill and take in money and pay my debts our heath is good mine never better and I have not ben home sick aney yet and hope I shall never no never god bless you                 A N Hubbard
