Dear Brother
Yours of the 12th inst came a couple of days since probably having been delayed by the storm

In regard to the proposition of Mr. Ross I do not believe that just now I can make any definite business arrangements. If Austin does as he still talks of I can get about $3000,00 into available shape before a long time but I am inclined to think that when we come to straighten our affairs (which we shall begin to do in about a week) he will not wish to sell off as close as he has / calculated. If I do get all of my interest here so that it will be available I shall expect to invest in some business of trade and am as likely to go to Kent as any other where But at present I can not do any thing definitely. I shall be at Kent in the course of a month or so and perhaps then can know what I may be able to do

Do you want that pony of ours? If you do I will ride him down at any time. He is in good order and will make you a cheap serviceable and good looking riding nag

Our people are usually well Mother is at Aurora for a day or two Austin is over to papa Snow's where he went last evening By the way I haven't seen Melissa since I came back from Kent /

To-day we—that is Burdett and Martha Austin and Melissa and Teressa with I—were going to Darwins but the snow went off so fast yesterday and last night that it is doubtful

The weather is warm and spring like not much like one week ago to day
