            dear Jettie
I write to let you know something of our plans and asking a little advice your Aunt Mary Ann and Tresa are visiting us, and I have proposed that we, that is, Mary Ann and myself take a trip to Frankton and visit your Uncle Grants family and perhaps go to Richmond should we go we shall leave Kankakee as soon as the first of October would like to call on you if agreable to yourself and family and secure your advise as to the best rout what seems to us most feasible is the Indianapolis and Chicago of the PC and StL think we shoud change at Logansport which might cause some inconvenience please send a line and let us know if you will be at home about that time we would consider your company to Lo-port or the entire journey as a great favour
