                                                                                                            I seize the moment offered to day to write you a few lines. the last information I had from you you was sick. hope you have got over your sickness and again on the flags. Of Galveston in the Cotton Market, I tell you Major is quite a crisis upon us now in our city. the 1st National Bank has gone bye the board as also Jacob Barker. buy 200 more Drafts on 26.0 on Bank of Commerce. you knew that G. W Crawford & Co deal heavily in old Jakes Bank.  Cotton in our City is flat and many flatter.  I will by the 1st June find Labyan & McGar. a business that will pay their say a house in Mexico. We will remit them L. &  McG. $5000. in the 1 or 10th June. Want you to do all you can for them. My wife has been quite under for 10 days but is now up. Sends her kind regards to you. Am still with my old friend “Gum,, who is not in very good health.  Hoping to hear from you soon
