Mr Edwin Binford
Dear Sir With unfeigned regret I have to fill the duty of announcing to you the fact of the death of your son R. G. Binford he was killed on the 13th in Batle near this place shot in the head noble Boy he died at his post fighting desperately for his country We deeply regret our loss and sympathise with the bereaved family to whomb he was a bright ornament I would say more but feel my incompetency to eugolise the caracter of one so prime and noble
