The 22nd 24th & 30th Regts NY Vols term of service having expired—Special Orders No 31 Dated May 31/63 from Hd Qrs 1st Army Corps were received the 31st transferring the 14th Regt NYSMilitia to the 2nd Brigade 1st Div 1st A.C.
July 1st In compliance with above order Col Fowler reported to Genl Cutler Cmdg 2nd Brigade—June 12th the Regt left Camp Wadsworth 3. A.M. halting at 6 P.M. nr Deep run, distance marched 24 miles—13th marched at 6. A.M. and halted near Bealton Stan 330 P.M. distance march'd 15 miles—14th marched at 730 AM halting at 5 P.M. 15th inst on Manasses plains at 9 AM continued the march to centrevill heighths arriving there at 330 P.M. whole distance marched 33 miles—June 17th Marched at 4.20 A.M. on road to Leesburg until 12 M. Countermarched & halted at Herndon Station on the Vienna Loudon & Hampshire RR at 2:30 P.M. distance marched 20 miles—June 19th left Herndon Station at 11.15 AM and at 1.15 P.M. went into camp nr Guilford Sta on Broad Run distance marched 4 miles—June 24th Regt ordered on Picket—25th Picket withdrawn and at 8.30 AM left Guilford Sta crossed the Potomac at Edwards Ferry "on Pontoon Bridge" and marched via Poolsville to Barnesville Md halting at 6 P.M. distance marched 18 miles—26th marched 6.30 A.M. crossed Monocacy River at Greenfield & marched via Adamstown, hating at 4 P.M. near Jefferson distance marched 15 miles—27th marched thro Middletown halting at 12 M. distance marched 8 miles /

June 28th 1863—Left Camp nr Middletown 230 P.M. halting near Frederick Md 6.30 P.M. distance marched 5 miles June 29th marched as rear guard to wagon train arriving at Emmettsburg at 9 P.M. distance marched 25 miles 30th marched at 5. A.M. halting at marsh creek within 5 miles of Gettysburg distance marched 5 miles
July 1st 7 A.M. left marsh creek 7 A.M. & marched to the left of G—engaged the enemy at 10. A.M. after a severe engagement lasting 6 hours fell back thro "the town and occupied position on" Cemetery Hill
2d remained in line of battle until dark at which time the Regt was sent to reinforce Genl Greene (12th Corps) on the extreme right remained with Genl G—all night most of time in the entrenchesments. At daylight of the 3rd was relieved & returned to Brigade during the morning was again ordered to the right to reinforce Genl Geary. fought in the trenches & Lay in reserve until 5 P.M. when ordered to join Brigade the loss of the regt for the 3 days was 12 men Killed 6 officers & 100 men wounded & 106 men missing
July 4th & 5th remained quiet—July 6th left Gettysburg at 5. A.M. halting near Emmettsburg Md at 11. A.M. distance marched 10 miles July 7th marched at 4. A.M. crossed Catoctin Mts halting nr Bellsville at 7 P.M. distance marched 15 miles—8th marched at 6.45 A.M. & halted beyond Middletown at 11. A.M. resumed march at 4 P.M. halting for the night nr Boonsboro at 7 00 PM whole distance marched 12 miles
July 10th marched at 7. A.M. halting at 11 A.M. near beaver dam distance marched 5 miles 11th regt. detailed on Picket—12th marched at 11.30 A.M. arriving at F[?]kstown at 4.30 PM bivouaced in line of battle distance marched 5 miles—July 14th marched at 12.30 PM halting at 4 P.M. nr Williamsport distance 6 miles—15th marched at 6.15 A.M. halting at 8 P.M. nr Cramptons Gap at 8 PM distance marched 20 miles—16th marched at 7 A.M. halting nr Berlin at 10 A.M. distance 5 miles 18th marched at 4.30 A.M. crossing the Potomac on Pontoons at Berlin Md and halted /
