with sorrow I have seted my self to let you no that I resieved yours of the 27th I was sorry to here that your woman still is so unwell but I hope that se will get well soon And I was sorry to here that you are so ignerent a bout war matters as to think that all whe ar fiting for is for the nigers and if it was sow I am shure that I cant help it but I think whe are fiting for the write caus and if you are a feered of the draft and dont want to fite for your Country please dont wound my feelings for I feel like given my live for my Country if needs be rather than rebeldom shall rool us Isaac I think it would be good for you if you woulden listen / quite as much to the Copperheads of the North as you do it would be better for you I know very well it will be very heard for you to lieve your famely and come to the armey I thot you wont nede to come I think thare ar volenteers a nough to end this war You spoke a bout the nigrows doing withe the wite Girls as they please I dont think they will trubbel them much after the Soldiers gets home. Thare cant have bin many cases as you spoke of or I would have herd something a bout it before now for whe get the Sentinal & star papers here every week and all sow the daily news. Every preperation has bin bade here for the coming Campain whe expect soon to move on rebbeldom it has bin raining here all morning thare was to be Corps revew to day our rigament was out a bout a quarter of a mile when the order was countermanded /
 
I know no war news that would be interesting to you at this time I feer that you look on the rong side of the queston. I remain as ever stout and hearty and I hope and pray that those few lines may find you and your woman injoying the same blessing of health We have had very bad weather here for the last month it snows or rains nearly every other day Our revibel is still going on whe have good meetings here I would like if you could se one of our meettings Company G has twenty one witnesses for Jesus now and some penatents I expect that our number will be thirty before whe leve this Camp and I hope and pray that the whole Company will turn from thare wicket ways and serve god I feel as determen this morning as ever I did to serve god I feel that my piece is made with him and I am determin to serve him wile I live let others do as they will /
 
It has bin over five weeks sence I started in this glorious caus and it has bin the happies part of my life every thing has bin pleasent to me and all is well. Twenty month a gow I left home and I cant say that I have bin sick one day sence Dount you think I have a write to serve him for such a blessing as this he saved my life when the balls was flying as thick allmost as hail Shurley he has min merciful to me it would be good for all to serve and prase his name I expect soon to go into to battel a gane and if I am permited to come out a gane it will be a lone through his kind provodence I know that if I have God on my side no one dar hirt me or even try to make me a frade with out his will so let us all trust in God I will close for this time hoping to to here from you soon a gane I send my best respects to you and all requiring friends excuse all misstakes if you plase no more at present I hope to see you all soon
