William Tomlinson to Eliza Tomlinson, 8 April 186X
Cin, Apl 8.

Dearest Eliza—
I have just finished a correspondence for the Bee, and it is time for me to be at the boat. Herewith I send some papers which I hope will interest you all. Next week I shall send you the Gazette. I have steady work now, and can depend upon something certain. I have changed my boarding to Crawford's I hardly know yet whether I shall be satisfied. There I can have a chance to accommodate you if you ever see proper to pay me a visit. Expected to hear from you. Of course Byers is still improving. Does his microscope amuse him? Does the bird sing yet—or are they making a nest. If there are any nice roses in market next Monday I shall send you up some on Magnolia. My health is much better. Day is gloomy and damp. O send me down my night-key by Magnolia Friday. We buried 14 dead of the Fifth last Sunday

But I must hurry—Love to all What can I send sissy?

                                                                        Ever yours,      Will Tomlinson
