The undersigned Officers of the 103rd. Regt. N.Y.S.Vols would most respectfully request to have Major B. Ringold of the 103rd. proposed for the vacancy caused by the dismissal of Colonel Baron Egloffstein from service.
Major Ringold has been in Command of the Regiment since June 1862 and we have full confidence in him as a military commander.
