Yours dated of the the 12 & mailed the 15th is duley at hand and I now hasten to reply to your sweet messive which I paused & looked over fast as I could after its welcom arrival. I was glad yes ver quite well pleased to heare that Delil was not married again. Please give her my regards and tell her I would be happy to hear from her
the weather is quite cool here & I judj from this weather here it must almost be snow where you are altho the distance is not so verry great. I was surprised to hear that Emma paine was dead but thats the way the world goes. we are in a queer World or the World is round a queer lot of people but Let us do as ny right as we can and we will have to account with no other.
You will say I am glad that Mrs. Babcock has gone to make her visit but sorry I am not to home so I could see her I wish she would go and see our people, but dont spose she can get round. well I havent onley about one month & ½ longer to stay. I shall look for 5 more letters from you but the time is / slowly wearing away.
How is Mr Babcock making it out to the oil regions expect he is getting rich and all those things. has he got the same team he had when I was there Write if you know where don is. Does Bud work to your house if so give him my regards & tell him to take good care of the Girls. I think you done just right and you will never find me for one to make any words about that—that does not concern you. But you know enoughf to know your own Bis at leas I trust that much to you an believe it is true
Mary did you know Charley Pratt had bin down to our house. I will say he has & stayed there 2 weeks how are you B.P. you know I will / will tell you all when I see you again & I hope that to be before long. I got a letter from Clem the other day She dident mention any of your names. but just as well what I know. Mary I think you wrote a good long letter before and I hope you will continue to do so evory time you write dont feare if the is 4 or 5 sheets it will be just as nice for Fresh well I will bring this to a close by asking you to excuse all mistakes and correct. Dear Lady I will put a few lines on this scrap so you can read it and Burn it up. first will say if I have good luck to get out the Service by the 6th of Dec. I shall go home soon as Possible and then will arange it so to come up and see you a few days and see what your arrangements are in regard to our affairs. You know I spoke about the place I had bought & about a new R.R. going throug there they are there now settleing up for / Right of Claims so I think they will build it sure. it goes in about ½ a mile of my place. So I think I done a fine thing in getting it as it will come up and be worth as much again I am making great calculations on it I wish your mother could go and see the place and Country round there if the Railroad does go through I think I shall do a good thing on it well try and get into some Business that will pay. Well I will close hoping to hear from you quite soon
