Dear Friend
Mary its with great pleasure that I now hasten to answer your kind and welcom letter which I recieved this after noon it found me well and on my taps as you say. well I dont know what to write but will say I got a letter from Frank to day. She is all right . I will send you a letter from her which was written the same day you wrote yours. She thinks a good eal of you. Mary you said you had something to tell me I wish you had written what it was for I cant guess. now you write in your next so I can / get some Idea of what it is. Also you thought that Mary B. told me a lot of trash if she had said any thing that was bad or any thing against you I should have told you & found out what the was about it But she did not. there fore I cant have any complaint to make for it stands with me as you said it did with you. now Mary dont make any words about what she said against me, altho I had much rather have a person say nuthing bad about one if they cant any thing good unless they have a cause to
now Mary if I come to see you again we will find out whats the matter and where it all comes from I dident think she would tell any such about ME but you cant pretty much always tell—But one thing you know as well as I that no one has any thing to do with our Bis nor cant make us feel any different about our own matters Mary what was it that you wanted me to know or want to tell me. now Mary write in your next I spose the was some big storys round about Us when you got back but who cares no harm done. Mary I dont know whether I shall go to / the Oil Regions or not but if I do I will come that way I think. you need not write again till I write for I may be in washington I will now close as I have a bad headache I would give more than a Dollar to see you to night. now I will close hoping this will find you well. Yours was a verry good letter and brought one great satisfactory on one thing Yours in haste and from you know who. Please excuse all & correct
Yours Eph. to Mary
