Dear Friend
Mary it's with pleasure that I now wish to write a few lines and let you know that I have bin mooving my base a little onley from Wash Elmira to Washington. I have not found out what kind of business I shall go into yet but shall know some time next week. But I thought I would write and let you know wher I was so you would not send any more maile to Elmira. I think / I shall put up here untill spring any how if I can get into business here that will pay.
I have got musterd out and settled up with the government I shall send $160 or two hundred home soon as I find out whether I shall stay here or not and if I dont conclude to stay here I think I shall go to Penn and try the Oil Regions. mary I think you had better write what you was agoing to tell me for I am affraid you will forget it before I see you again now write in your next so I will get some kind of a run of what / was that you ment it's quite betwixt you and I and we know enoughf to keep a little something to our own minds and heads if they are sheap heads 2 is more costly than one
