Dear Uncle I now take the opportunity to write We are quartered on the north side of the hill north of the city we had a good time all the way two or three got hurt with the horses since we marched into camp three of the men got poisoned one man bought some cakes, and the Doctor broke one oppen and found [paper cut out]
 
Arsenic pills I am well I did [cut out]
get very tired any part of the [cut out]
I like the Business pretty well [cut out]
I had about as leave be on [cut out]
as anything else but I think that [cut out]
shall get somthing good [cut out]
We do not expect to stay here a [cut out]
while there is 4 regt camped [cut out]
city besides those in Michen [cut out]
how many there I dont know
