I am about the same as I have been for the last 6 months I do not think that I ever can get well here the climate is hotter here than in North Carolina the camp and roads are hard and dusty we cant move / for being all covered with dust I have begun this letter on the back side but I guess you can read it I should like to have Ann here to pick blackburys they are thick than I ever saw them at home but not quite so large we have seen fruit of all kinds and that was ripe greensause is not very plenty here the soldiers have taken it that that was fit to take I do not know what to write when you write direct 21st Regt, Mass V. 2 Division Burnsides Army Washington, D.C.
