I am now confined to the bed but hope to get up in a few days as smart as ever I have not written before because I was not able to it is with difficulty that I write now I have not been out of doors for 12 days it seems almost to bad to have to stay in here this pleasant weather it is quite warm here it seems like spring now the sun is so hot the grass has not withered since I have been here. there is going to be a change of attendens here there is no news that I know of the Dr has got a / new card up for me now I cant read it I am going to send you some more pictures to see if you can tell who they are one you cant guess. it is reported that Fort Sumpter is taken with Charston perhaps you have heard of it. I should like another sheat of paper. there has been a rascal here he has stolen about two hundred dolars from this ward one man lost 30 five money and a pen and case worth 9$ there is 7 of us without a cent from that cause and he was not found out till he got his discharge and gone no one knows where
