Dear wife this afternoon I will try and write to you again but the wind blows so hard I gues I mus give it up it allmost blows my shanty down and the mail has closed for today so I will stop 3d well I will finish this this morning for I may not have a chance for some time again the order has come at last to march at 12 oclock today well I feel prety well I think I can stand a tramp again I dont kno where we go but I gues we just go to the rest of the Division I dont think there is a general moove yet we are prepaired for a big tramp we sent our blankets back to Chattanooga so I have but little to carry but little to sleep under either / I have but little to write this time as I expected a letter yesterday from you so i may not get any mail for a few days now one thing I forgot to tell you I sent my old overcoat home in a box with some others it was sent to Deal as before you can call and get it if it comes our Capt Beer came up yesterday and Lieut McDonald will be here at 9 this morning I received a letter from Frank and Eliza Mccreary Saturday I answered it I have not heard from Jef since he first went to Lexington you can direct your letters as before to me if we get to some other place I will let you kno write often for on a march letters come so good I dont look for a / long march unless the rebs leave our front to reenforce Lea at Richmond we may have a trip to atlanta Georgia or Roam I dont care if it is to the Gulf of Mexico if we drive the rebs before us I will close this or I cant get it in the mail no more again Goodby and remain as ever yours C Morfoot
