Monday morning 13th it is verry cold but the sun is comeing out and it will thaw some well today we draw rations I must say we draw less here than we did on the march but we can get anything one wants for money I expect one could get some of that what cats fight about for money but every thing is higher than it was at Atlanta

I have bought some apples I bought 1.00 worth one day it just made me a good mess I see pies about the size of a tea saucer for 20cts so one cant buy anything to eat it would brake a banker well all is quiet on the lines only occasionly a musket shot /

I sent for a pair of cotton gloves lined with sheepskin I have been looking but they have not come yet I hate to buy for I cant get any but buckskin and they cost 4 Dollars and it is too cold to handle a gun without I will wait yet perhaps you did not get the letter I will close this as the mail goes out at 9 AM
