Dear wife today I will write a few lines to pass time and the last I expect to write from Tenn as we are about ready to leave this cuntry the time is near at hand that I have long and anxiously looked for that I can say I am my own Son of a B.t.c.h. we have at last got the rolls all done and been examined by the Corps Mustering Officer and pronounced all correct all is ready to be signed by our Division Mustering Officer then the work here is done they are going at them this afternoon and will be done by tomorrow noon it is thought we will start by tomorrow evening or Tuesday morning we expect to reach Cleveland in 4 days after we start then we have to turn over our guns camp and garrison stuf after we land our rolls are all ready to get our pay and discharges all made out so I think a few days will finish up so I expect to get home in 2 week from this time I tell you as the time draws nigh the more anxious I feel to get out but I dont expect / I can draw any Lieut pay now until I send my returns to Washington after we turn over the stuf that I dont like it will take one or too months to get my certificates from there now as so many are onhand at this time to settle however it will all be right when it comes

well I will wait until evening if I can mail this tomorrow I will finish it in the morning if not I wont send until I arrive at Cleveland 12th I got a letter from Jef last night he was above Chattanooga near Tyner Station that is where we campt once he was well

well I must make this short I was up until 2 last night fixing my rolls they sent ours all back to date them and fill up so the Mustering Officer has nothing to do but write his name and we must be at his office at 8 this morning so I think by noon we will be mustered out the QM has just started to the city with our mules and waggon to turn over and get transportation for us and if he can get it today we will start for Ohio this evening we will get to Cleveland I think about Thursday night no more            CM
