STATEMENT OF DISCREPANCIES
Arising on an examination of the Returns of Clothing, Camp and Garrison Equipage received and issued by Captain John K. Laing Cos. "F" & "A" 14 Mo. Vols. during the periods enumerated below.
1863 Pertaining to Co "F"
2nd Ap. 1 The Officer issuing and accountable for clothing not being
a competent witness to the clothing Receipt Roll, an explanation is
required why the Roll is witnessed by yourself.
2 The issue of clothing to men who did not sign the Receipt
Roll must me verified by affidavit stating why the signatures could
not be obtained.
3 Property lost or destroyed must be accounted for affidavit
stating the circumstances of the loss.

Oct 4 Remark 3 applies in case of property abandoned.
Nov Correct.
Dec 5 The Clothing Receipt Roll not being witness, the issues
must be verified by affidavit stating the cause of the omission.

Your final affidavit (Form II), stating the dates of your
entry into, and muster out of the service, also the entire period
of your responsibility for C. C. & G. E., is required and must be
forwarded to the Q M General.
