In the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven
An act to incorporate the Trustees of the Passadumkeag Academy.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled as follows
Sec 1 Elbridge G. Haynes, Ambrose Dennis, John H McGregor, Charles G. Folsom, Christopher B Rubert, John Humphrey, Dudley B Bean, Frank Laing, Luna B Batchelder, Michael Mehan, Joseph Laing, Aaron Haynes, John Arebel, George A Folsom, Ezra Oakes, Durlon Longfellow, William Leonard, their associates, successors and assigns are hereby constituted a corporation / by the name of the Trustees of the Passadumkeag Academy, and by this name may sue and be sued, make such by-laws as they may deem expedient for the management of their affairs, not repugnant to the laws of this State, fill all vacancies occurring in their number, take and hold any estate real or personal, that they may now possess, or may hereafter receive by donation or [?], the annual income of which shall not exceed three thousand dollars; said income to be faithfully applied to promote the cause of education; and the trustees aforesaid are invested with all the powers and privileges incident to similar corporations.
Sec 2 Any two of said Corperators are hereby authorized to call the first meeting of the Corporation, by pasting up in two or more public places in Passadumkeag notices thereof, seven days at least before the time appointed for said meeting.
Sec 3 This act shall take effect upon its approval
