Camp of the 31st Reg Ind Vol Nov 22nd 1862
 
            Dear Sister
                                    I once more avail myself of the opportunity of writing you a feu lines I have not written to you since I left Mcminnvill Tenn before our retreat to Louisvill but the reason I did not write to you was that I have had no time and Robbert I suppose told you more than I could of written Since I saw him we have been marching continually until a feu days back we have been camped a short time at different camp grounds I am very sorrow Robbert did not se Joseph I saw him a feu days before he was shot but had no time for conversation Henry McCalla has gone home I suppose at home by this time and I sent Joseph Profile with him I told him to give it to Ervin so you can get it when you call for it We are now camped near Rock River Tenn 7 miles east of Nashville I am very anctious to se all of you but to think of comeing home seems to be a matter of impossibility at presant
