Dear sister tis with grate Pleasur that I seat my self this day to drop you know that I am well at this time I reseieved your kind leter and was Glad to here that you was and all the rest of the folk I am Glad to here that you are a going to school and to here that you are learning so fast. I want you to go every day that you have the Chance and If you will stay with Aunt saly and be a good girl she will send you all she can Nothing Pleases me beter than to here of you learning to rite Helth is generly good in Camp at this time all the boys is well and in good sperits we are in Camp where we / wer 4 monts but I dont think we will stay there long now we are lookin for martching orders every day. Bud is well and as fat as i ever saw him solgering just soots him I was at Town yesterday after rations I am Co Teamster now I have six good mules hit a grees with me beter than in ranks hit hirts me to pack a cartreg box and Capt Grimes gave me the teem tell ant saly to rite to me give my respects to all I wood send you my minitur if I can get hit taken I will try and get hit as soon as I can excuse me for not riting to you sooner
