I got your letter to day and it found me well but I am sory that you got sh sush a letter But I must tell you what it is I had a boy that Camp with me told me that there was one of the Boys that took and open my letter and red it and then he took and wrote a nother letter and then got one of the boys to derect it and he sead that he put in some ofle stuff But I tell you that I dont want you to think hard of it for I never wrote eny sush stuff and that likness that I sent you I sent one to most all of the girls that I was aquanted with
I wish that you wood tell me what it was and then I will be sadisfied But as writing love to you I hant thought eny sush thing for I ant in now Sh Sush of a boySuh of mind as that com to I will think of that when I git home
But we will let that drop for this time I have had some of a hard time sense I came to the frunt I have seen some hard fighing I was in that fight that they had to take this plase But I cant tell you eny thing about war for the pen cant describe it a tall I think that we will stay hear a while and then we will start a gane I cant think of eny more you tell Maggie I wood like to hear from hir for I wrote last you must let that drop and I will make hir pay der for that
how is Lucy I haint hird from hir in a good while and is she well if you see hir tell hir that I am well and I was at the fight of Atlanta and came out all right you send your leter via Nashville Tenn pl I write to you because you are a ould Schoolmate of mine and so good Buy your Friend
