I was examend to day by the Sergeon in charge and expect to go to my Regt soon how soon I could not say it may be to morrow and it may not be till next month. I hope it will not, as I want to get my pay before I go so I can leave it at home.

There are some thirteen hundred patients here now and a great many of them are fit for the field. I will try and write you again before I am off and if you want a play day come and spend / it with me if you can.

Have you heard from Clealand since I left you. I have writen Alberts I did not get in my old ward as it was all filled up so they put me in the fifth ward, which is tents

I supose Aunt Julia is out on the mountains. I hope she will have a good visit as she does not go much. I am about played out for news so I will close
