Remmembrd Eph to day I seat myself to write you a few lines for I thought you had forgoten me for I have writen & received no answer & will write once more & see if I can get one & I would like to know the reason you dont write if you have enny thing againce me just let me know for if you knew how I felt you would write I heard that you was not goint to write to me enny more & I begin to think it is so for I hant had a letter from you since I got the monny & when I get a letter from you I will send it to you for you was so kind to / send it to me but I could not com I stade to home all day & lade a bead & my thoughts wer on you I hope you enjoyed your self better than I did for it was the sadest forth I evr past but it is for the best I am better than I was for I have gon back to Mr Heath's to work but to day I feel quite bad but I have got to work or die for what I know these times I would not work out if it want so hard for Father to get along we have had so much sikness he has got my docter bill to pay & I would not ask him to get enny clothes so I think it my duty to help my self all I can & awlys have so I think & if I can not stand it to work I will haft to go home & stay / I have been here three weeks to day & one week ago yesterday I went to that woods meeting I went with Bud I enjoyed my self verry well after I got there I was sick Saturday & when we startid I never eat a thing from Saturday till to a clock & after meeting we went to Sherman & took supper & then com home & then I com back to Mr Heaths it did not make me wors for we had a nice cariage to ride in if you had been there I would been glad but if you have good luck you will soon be here & I hope you will have the best cind of luck I heard Charly had gon back with you has he inlisted dont you let him nor dont you for all this world if you hant obliged to for you have don your / duty in this war dont you think so if you dont I do when I think of you it makes my hart ache to think what danger you are in for you know Ephriam that I love you as I love my self & I trust you are true hartid to me & you know I am to you unless farther than we know but my wish that God may spare your life so you may com to one that loves you as dear as she loves her self if I could only see you I would give all I have in world & how I wished you was here to go and swing to morow night we are a going up to the Eliots to swing I shant swing but will look on & see the rest for it makes me sick to swing & if you was here to visit with me & we would have a gay old visit I expect to get it to morrow night all around for all of the folks that has so much to say will be there & it makes no ods to me for they cant com there roots on me now I tell you I have a answer for them eavry time for all of the folks that worys

I will haft to finish my letter on this paper for the other would not hold what I want to write I will tell you what Mrs Kerr wanted to know she wanted to know if I was a good girl & was neat & tidy if I want she did not want me to have Eph for he was worthy of a good woman. She did not now for she was not much aquainted with me for I did not com there but would like to have me com & make her a visit I will lay this up till to morrow & then will finish it

 

to day is the second day of Aug & I will try & finish my letter I heard you wrote to Charly that you was not goint to write to me but I / dont believe it till you write it your self Charly did not tell me but it com from there but you know I shant believe it yet till I receive one from you & if you dont want to write all you have got to do is to say the word & you know I will try & give it up but it dont seem that you was such a felow as that but if you thought so why did you not write it to me but I think they do this to make a fus betwene you & me for they hav tried it so long & hant made it out yet & wont on my part & I hope it wont on your part now write soon as you get this
