Your letter came last to night all safe and I was very glad to here from you it has snowed about 4 in we had a bully scate last night there were over 24 down there Dec 22nd I got pretty sleepy last night so I commence to night I do not know as I can discribe Mary Rose very well only she is the prettes girl in the vilage I do not know but I told you that Eligah Pearce keep company with Mary but I beleive that Bradford is her bow now her mother and father would not let her go with him that negro that lived to Tinkers last winter livs to Pierces this winter he sed that Eligah was out till 1 or 2 oclock about evry night /
Mr Lathrop talks of buying Mr Holbrooks place if he dos we shal have a pretty good nabor I have not sent you that diary yet Miran has not got eny ma went to ashtabula the other day but forgot to get any we will send the almanac soon and the diary the first as soon as we can get one
Tip Handerson lost his baba there was a rumor aflote that Jeff Davis poisended him self I guess that is not trew Claten Millar goes to school he had a nice sla ride the other night there was a drove of cattle went along tere cow was out in the road they thought she went off with the drove so they went after her down to the depot they could not find her there they stade to the inn all night he Mr Miller sent Claten home they found her in george Smiths yard Claten sed that he would / not go down there agin for $5 it was cold enough to freez a nigar Mr Millar is a going to build moov a house from up north beyond Pierces Arthar Pierce has been woun ded wounded in his leg he was wounded by a shell his face was blackened with powder
Edmon Snow has gone to his Regt Albert Hubbard has gone to Clveland to report he came home when Edmon did I do not know but I toll you that Edmon had gone back but it will help to fill up the letter I have got to rite a composition to night or else suffor the consequenses Clark sed that you wanted some postage stampes we will send $½ worth I do not know as I can think of any thing else to write excuse all bad spelling I must close
